Enclume
Design Products, Inc. was founded in 1973 as a metal crafting company,
specializing in cookware racks of
the highest quality. Today, Enclume also
produces kitchen furniture (including gourmet islands and baker's
sideboards), hearth products (log racks, tool sets), finishing touches
(including wine racks, plant stands, and coat racks) and accessories.
Enclume is the premier manufacturer of cookware storage racks ("pot racks")
for the kitchen. Our racks set the standards for quality, design, function,
and strength. The craftsmanship and design approach for which we are so well
known are also available in a complete line of firewood storage systems for
your hearth, and in specialty items for other areas of your home.

craftsmen have used for centuries, our manufacturing process creates durable
and practical ironwork that is inspected at every step. Our workers then
carefully pack and ship our products to ensure customers receive a rack of

high-carbon steel, type 304 stainless steel, heavy-gauge grid work, and
hand-selected eastern maple. Our racks are made of 3/16” - 1/2” steel, up to
twice that of our competitors. Our plated racks are electroplated and then
hand-polished to a mirror finish.

Manufacturing
The company manufactures its products at its headquarters in Port Hadlock,
Washington. Enclume is known nationwide for leadership in quality, based on
our skilled craftsmen, traditional French metal-forming equipment, and the
materials used (high-carbon steel, heavy-gauge grid work, hand selected
eastern maple wood).
We quality inspect after every step of the manufacturing process. We hand

Enclume's signature finish is Hammered Steel, with a rich distressed patina.
Other finishes include Chrome, Brass, and Copper plated as well as Stainless
Steel in selected models.
Factory Tour
Enclume takes pride in manufacturing
our products. It is a complex process starting with either cold or hot
rolled steel (depending on if we're making a plated or hammered steel rack).
For hammered steel, we create our signature finish and then we form the rack
into shape here in our factory in Port Hadlock, Washington. For plated or
stainless racks, the shaped steel is sent out for sanding, and, if
applicable, electroplating before being returned for a stringent quality
control check that is performed on every rack before it is packaged and
